Freetown 2006

In January 2006, Delia went back to Freetown, Sierra Leone, for the first time in 30 years. She was there to make a documentary for BBC Radio 4 - 'Imaginary Homeland' inspired by her novel Moses, Citizen & Me.

The Guardian newspaper commissioned photographer Tim Hetherington to document the visit. However, here are some more informal snaps of that same trip, accompanied by comments from Delia herself.
